13.04.2018
Bulgarian conservationists reported results from tracking Lesser kectrels and Sandwich terns that have reached Adriatic coast during their migrations.

The event was held in the Serbian National Park Fruska Gora in the period 19 – 23 March and was organized by German foundation EuroNatur and Bird Protection and Study Society of Serbia. Representatives of UNEP/AEWA (Agreement on the Conservation of the African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbirds) and UNEP/CMS (Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals) have participated along to experts from different Adriatic countries and Central Europe. Green Balkans' representatives were the sole Bulgarian ones and the reports for migrations of Lesser kestrel (within the project Recovery of Lesser kestrel, LIFE11 NAT/BG/360) and Sandwich terns (tagged by Green Balkans at Pomorie Lake), that crossed the Adriatic coast attracted serious interest during the Conference.

Participants in the 3rd Adriatic Flyway conference adopted Declaration for conservation of birds and their habitats along the Adriatic coast.
