Cleaning of the park around the Rowing Channel of Plovdiv [ 2011-09-15 ]
The National Scout Organization of Bulgaria together with Green Balkans carried out yet another cleaning of the “Otdih I kultura” Park at the Rowing Channel of Plovdiv.
The initative is carried out in partnership with the Civic Society Union, with the kind support of the Municipality of Plovdiv, represented by Mr. Georgi Titiukov – deputy mayor, section “Sports, Youth Policies, Civic Order and Security” and the the team of “Sports and Youth Policies” department.
The event took place on September 11th 2011, involving over 60 volunteers of Green Balkans, the National Scout Organization of Bulgaria, citizens and guests of Plovdiv.
The event is a part of the series of events, organized within the European year of volunteering. An additional stimulus was the willing to clean the space of the Eastern part of the Rowing Channel, which is hosting the European Rowing Championship (September 16-18th).
