CEEWEB Annual Meeting print Bookmark and Share
The Annual Meeting of CEEWEB (Central and East European Working Group for the Enhancement of Biodiversity) was held in the period November 14th-18th, 2007. CEEWEB is an international network of almost 80 non-governmental organizations in Central and Eastern Europe, as Green Balkans was one of its founders. The mission of CEEWEB’ is conservation of biodiversity through encouragement and promotion of sustainable development.

Currently, Green Balkans is involved in two of the CEEWEB Working Groups – NATURA 2000 and CITES. At the meeting, the participants discussed the specific activities to be implemented by the Working Groups till 2010, as well as the development strategy of CEEWEB for this particular period. Three new Bulgarian organizations were admitted as members of the Network – Bulgarian Biodiversity Foundation, “Hourglass” Foundation, and a Library Board. Thus, there are 12 Bulgarian organizations within CEEWEB.
