Recently we received disturbing information about a misleading SMS message offering a cash prize, sent to a person who has helped save a patient of the Rescue Centre.
The team of Green Balkans are anxious to inform you that assisting for rescuing wounded animals in distress, no matter how protected they are, is a voluntary activity not secured by any cash, material or other rewards whatsoever.
If a member of the team of our organization wants to get into contact with a volunteer they will do that personally by phone or as a last resort by e-mail, introducing himself and giving his personal information for feed-back.
All other methods of communications might be attempts at misleading or deception so we advise that everyone who receives a suspicious message on behalf of Green Balkans and/or the Rescue Centre should immediately refer to the competent authorities.
