Imperial Eagle hatched in Sakar is inhabiting the Dervent Heights area

On December 4th, 2010, using radio-tracking, Green Balkans’ team located Gabriela – a juvenile Imperial Eagle (or Eagle 3, probably female), in the area of the Dervent Heights.

New nests for Black Vultures

In the period November 11th - 14th, Green Balkans’ staff and volunteers mounted six artificial nests for Black Vultures in the Eastern Rhodopes.

Flamingo at Pomorie Lake!

Information meetings in 6 cities presented the results of our work aiming at conserving the Imperial Eagle, Black Vulture and Lesser Kestrel

The results of the first year of the “Conservation measures for target species of the EU Birds Directive – Lesser Kestrel, Black Vulture, and Imperial Eagle in their main habitats in Bulgaria” project carried out by Green Balkans and funded through Environment OP 2007-2013 were presented within the International Vulture Awareness Day, September 4th and as a part of the International Biodiversity Year 2010.
