[14-10-2019] Shumen Plateau Nature Park joined the International Bat Night, too! This year the International Bat Night information campaign has spread across the country. In addition to the organized events in as many as ten cities, a number of institutions from other places got involved in the initiative. A good example is the Shumen Plateau Nature Park Directorate. They marked  the event with a bat observation at Biserna Cave (Pearl Cave) on October 4.

[29-11-2012] Recovery of bat hibernation colonies in Devetashka Cave! Bat Research & Conservation Centre – NMNH/ BAS. On November 23d 2012, experts from the Bat Research & Conservation Centre at the National Museum of Natural History of the Bulgarian Academy of Science carried out a field census of bats in Devetaskha Cave in order to count the number of bats one year after the filming of “The Expendables 2”.

[28-11-2012] A year after the illegal shooting of “The Expendables 2” in the Devetashka cave the Court passed a definitive judgment in favor of NGOs and experts that contested the permission for filming given by the Regional Inspectorate of Environment and Water On November 26th, 2012, by virtue of Decision No 14848, the Supreme Administrative Court rejected definitively the appeal by RIEW Pleven and Nu Boyana Film Studio against the ruling of Pleven Administrative Court dated February 22nd, 2012, which repealed the act giving permission for filming. Thus, the Court upholded the arguments of Green Balkans, who initiated the proceedings on behalf of alarmed citizens.
