[12-10-2019] Bat Night was celebrated by students from the town of Pomorie
On Friday we celebrated Bat Night at “Ivan Vazov” High School in the town of Pomorie.

Thanks to Mrs. Antonina Ichkova who teaches biology, a Green Balkans team introduced fifth and sixth graders to the importance of bats. Annie and Polly from Green Balkans gave a short presentation containing of interesting facts about bats - how they navigate in the dark, what they eat and even how they drink water. They also mentioned the bats that often visit Pomorie Lake, which is part of the NATURA 2000 ecological network. Finally, there were questions to test students' newly acquired knowledge. Naturally, for every correct answer there was a prize - “The adventures of Darky the bat” book.

We thank the management of the ”Ivan Vazov” High School for the hospitality.
